Good Day all, I have been struggling with a wounded web site sorry I've been out of touch!, and that kinda goes with this article..... I like it because it says what we all know.. work hard , be good at your job and there are rewards. The only thing it doesn't tell us is how to beat the other guy / gal to the job so you can get that reward :) On paper it looks like the our unemployment rate is getting better and then we see a publication like this and it puts a lot into prespective. Getting better is not over all, just in certain areas so the increase in these areas makes it look like unemployment has decreased and the average pay has increased. Well I can tell you working in the restaurant business for many years with buss persons, cooks, servers and management, that it is the bussers, cooks and servers that really make things work and if there are no jobs for them then we are all in trouble. If you haven't see this movie I would make it a must see... Kinda funny but OOOHHHHH so true. The movie is called "a Day Without Mexicans" I got a little off track here but all in all it is about work , being able to find a job so you can work , and keeping that job once you get it. Oh yeah and having the desire to work! That is what will keep these unemployment numbers down. So check out the movie , because it shows how hard we all work no matter what the job or ethnic background.

Ok this one is a goodie, I am an impulse buyer most of the time, even though I love to find a bargan I seem to get sucked into the void when it comes to something I want like all of you , ( dont denie it) :) I do shop bargains always, the first place I go is to the discount rack in my favorite clothing stores. Because the style is just a couple weeks old anyway so why pay retail for it new rite? Well here is some very good advise. I read this article and found that inside the article are some people that think just like me in shopping and I am guessing like all of us in business also. Like costco, well i shop costco for most everything, but i do have a lot of extra things and I tell myself I wont have to buy that item for a while , hahaha! I usually buy it again , the next time I am ther because it seems cheap.... Ok well you get the idea, The same premise goes for business practices.... Check out your suppliers and ask for a discount because often enough you will get it, I know I do.. and yes many ask for discount from me that's is why my prices are so low for my products, Liquid Bathmat and Slip Resistor... but don't think there is not room to negotiate :) the more fat I cut out of operation the more savings there is for the consumer. Ok you may not agree with the use of pot ( lets call it what it is) or medical Mary Jane, but it is here and always has been here and always will be here. The difference is now the real advocates of pot, the people we all thought might end up in a ditch are making millions and making a dent in the financial future of their families and have employes, helath plans and just like the grown ups their doing their dream and paying much needed taxes. WOW... Whats left every day I have a different thought in my head and I like many find it is over before it started because someone else did it. The difference for me is I know I will have a different idea or thought the next day or the next hour and like my invention here, on my website, it might come true also. So like it or not pot seems to be here to stay and the money is rolling ( PUN INTENDED) HA! HA! ! in! If I didn't have that little problem back in the early 80's I might be rolling in the green leafy dough now myself! It is about one of the many amazing people that go to the extreme, to save money by clipping / collecting store coupons. I have seen many do this before but the seemed kind of over the top, but it looked like they were clipping and gettting stuff like horders. but all said and done , this is a way for us all to cut costs in business and at home, I just ordered the sunday times today because I can't get coupons from the sunday paper at the store lol. The amount of free stuff one can get is out of control if you work it rite and use the coupons from a store's that double or trippple sometimes it is free and like the nice lady in the video that started because her husband lost his job... She streamlined the system of coupon clipping and made it easy and just a part of her normal life , WOW! cudos to her and the many that do this , I hope to be one of them soon , Just have to find the time, ha! Well off to the Grove here in Hollywood, I have work done and have talked to you nice people, so I guess I should be clipping now but don't get the coupon paper untill Next sunday , so I will procrastinate till then. Ok this was a great read for me this morning, as you all know I have been very positive about the economy thing thats going on with us here in the US. This was a good read because , it reflects my sentiments and I am sure most of yours. I have worked hard for what I have and have never sat around waiting for someone in my family to die to leave me money. HA! The ideas and and products that I have marketed in the past are the only way I have ever survived. I could go on, but today I think this is well written and kinda says it all for me . Glass half full, get off your but and make it happen. Many times I think to myself I wish I had thought of that, but the truth is I have already done that and it works... Ok this is one that we can all relate to.. and who has not used a sticky note. I love these articles. A lot of how I operate my company and how I think comes from these pages. The sticky note was a failed invention at 3M company :) They almost scrapped it. lol since the article is about inventions that cost less than $5, it got me to thinking..... What else is out there that has made a million dollars? Check out the article and hit me back with your thoughts. I am re-evaluating my own invention to see where I can cut fat from my company. Make my product a little more affordable (even though it is low now) maybe there is a little more I can do... After all we are in a recession after all. Maybe we can all look at our own sales and see if maybe if we make it more affordabloe we will sell more and everyone benifits and the economy gets a little closer to what we can live with world wide! Ok, here is a follow up to yesterday , this is an interesting article about where our tax dollars really go! Check out the percentages first :) and try to explain, what means what, here is an example. here is a bit of the article to peak your interest!

The results can be quite illuminating. Take a typical married couple with two kids who earn the median U.S. income, $69,800. After taking standard deductions, they would pay federal taxes of $6,993. Where does their money go?

The biggest chunk — some 20.4%, or $1430.03 -- goes to Social Security. Defense comes in a close second. Our average family would pay $1,410.59 to fund the military — fully 20.2% of the total they send to Uncle Sam.

How about Homeland Security and Law Enforcement, which includes everything from the Coast Guard and the FBI to the U.S. Courts and immigration system? Just 2.4% of our average family's tax bill — only$167.95 — goes to pay for those.

Ok, some good news even if it is only for 3 days, we in the US hev an extra 3 days to file tax returns. This article has a little fun history along with it you might be interested in. There is more than meets the eye in income tax as we all know , and many ways to get more money back. Be sure to check with all your recorces on the net and paid accountants to get all you deserve. Remeber we all work hard for our money and we need as much back as possible..... Sooooooooo. remeber the glass is always half full! and now the IRS gave us 3 extra days to fill the glass even more!

This type of disaster belongs to all of us and unfortunatly it could happen to any of our countries at any minute. I live in Los angeles, California. Here we consider earthquakes something that just happpens a lot, but in the back of our minds we all know, the disaster that has happened in Japan can hit us any minute. The fact is Californis can actually split down the middle. Movies have been made about it books have been written, and the facts are public knowledge. Yet we are still so un prepared and in denial that most of us dont even have an extra gsallon of water in the house to drink if the quake happens. I'm ashamed to say I am one of them. Our neuclear plants are rite on the coast also. so I will end now and say get your act together :) cuz were all here together and Mother nature is really in control , we just hang out here. Enjoy life , its is too short BUT THE RIDE IS A LOT OF FUN, Take care eveyone.

Tell me it isn't so :) I grew up on Marvel comics and according to this we might only be able to see our favorite comic book characters on the big screen soon.I love the movie version of Batman and Superman, Spidie and the rest but from a business point of view these talented animators that made each page by hand , ...well just another lost art and more people out of work and turned into computers. As I have said before find something your passionate about and make it your own! However sometimes you might have to find a new passion every week :( Sad but true, I have to tell you that is what keeps me going is the constant change , in business and also my personal life , I love the chalenge!

Ok, here we go with something a little lighter (sort of) The Royal Wedding, and the overthrough of the Monarchy.... Wow, Can you imagine England without a Queen... The old Gal must be so sad :) But really I have been trying to consider the effect Democracy would have on the UK... Because I do a bit of business there and have friends that visit ever year, I am entrenched in the fact that their system works for them and maybe they should not mess with something that has worked for quite a few hundred years now! Well for the wedding I have a friend and business partner that is organizing a wedding party at her house and a skype simocast with our friends in London HA! it should be some event lol Oh and one more business related thing. There is a commercial running on many channels here in the U.S., selling fake duplicates of Kates ring, now listen to this. For those of you who haven't seen it the commercial says it has a certificate of authentisity and there is a limited amount of the rings produced for only $19.95 >>> huh? So those of you who think you don't have anything to sell or can't find a nitch for yourself take a lesson from these guys. Good Day everyone, I had some time away the site got a little busy, so today I have one thing to pass on and I will be back a little later today with another topic. Employment and Unemployment has been on my mind along with many of us. Since I am a self employed manufacturer of a benificial Slip Resistant Chemical for flooring, Baths and Showers, business is going well even for me in this economy, mostley because I manufacture and can afford to pass along the savin at a greatly reduced price to consumers and end users. However it takes a lot of work and time , even with this beautiful medium of Social Media. So when I talk to others and they ask how do you keep things fresh and growing your business, I answer.... wow I don't seem to think of it anymore, I tell them to do what they know and make a business out of that. List the things your good at , dont exagerate and advertise for the jobs you can do well. To do so , take advantage of simple things like Craigslist, for local services and even national products. Social Media, as we all here know, is the other free and emmediate way to respond to many individuals and business at a click of the enter button. So the moral of this issue is , DO WHAT YOU LIKE AND YOUR GOOD AT. this will help generate income and also keep us all off the streets. Ill be back soon, Dale

Ok finally some good news on the home front, not that we can all take a deep breath but we can all hope and pray that we can repete even this small drop in unimployment this comming month ( tomorrow HA!) in April heres to all those who got back to work last month and to those that will get up and go this month. I personally have found many who have used their own engenuity to make a new job. I have ideas and looking to make friends with them, so lets all work and smile a little its tough enough out there.
